Its one of those Cradled Gessobords that you can buy from most art supply stores. I have them in a few different sizes...it works great if you let yourself get used to drawing with a mall stick(or in my case a ruler). I use themfor smaller paintings as well.

Huh. I've never even heard of a cradled gessoboard before. Cool. I'll have to poke around Utrecht's or one of the bigger art stores here in C'bus...
