Just a post showing process. I don't always work like this but it is fun: to focus on detail and construction without regards to composition. As illustrators we often design characters to fit harmoniously into their scenes and vice versa. Sometimes its fun to not...

Gesso'd drawing surface

Here is a quick sketch done on Gesso'd hardboard...

She reminds me a little of the Bride of Frankenstein...

Cyril Roquelaine has sculpted this bust from my design below. He has added the extra dimension of awsome.

Another creature for the mix, demon or alien...maybe both.
